To the residents of Lviv Region
Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of 70th anniversary of the region foundation.
Such outstanding dates make us considerably ponder over the time period that passed with its immense historical inheritance. Now we are able to appreciate the achievements of the social development, cultural importance and great experience of the ancestors that inspire us for the future noble deeds.
Lviv region is a real natural pearl of Western Ukraine: ancient Lviv with its unique architecture, Zhovkva town-fortress, magnificent castles of "Golden Horseshoe", picturesque sky Carpathians resorts. It´s the motherland of such prominent people as Ivan Franko, M. Hrushevsky, O. Myshuha, S. Krushelnytska, S. Ludkevych.
Today Lviv region is a strong agricultural and industrial region of international importance due to its frontier location, region-resort and the center of national-cultural patriotic movement.
